Created by Narma, the two-sided smartWeave® is revolutionary by nature – different sides with the same style pattern are equally usable. Narma smartWeave® eco-friendly rugs are manufactured in a sustainable manner - 80% of the weft material is upcycled cotton.
Due to the special patented weaving technology, the stable and shape-maintaining construction of the carpet fabric is achieved by cost-efficient and purely mechanical weaving, without any chemical treatment, thermal processing or lamination. smartWeave rugs have been certified with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label.
Die Eigenschaften
smartWeave® is a great example of environmentally sustainable textile processing and reuse of natural cotton fibres. Using the regenerated material instead of virgin one is saving large quantities of energy, water, chemicals and other resources. Additionally, the energy consumption of the whole manufacturing process is economical and sustainable. We do not use fossil energy sources in our production process.
Narma production premises are heated by geothermal heating system. Additionally, 100% of the electricity used for production comes from solar electricity produced by the company itself.
