CERAMIN® | Classen Holz Kontor
CERAMIN® represents an innovative, PVC-free material, serving as the foundation for high-performance flooring and wall coverings. This health-conscious composition comprises 60% natural minerals and 40% highly sustainable polypropylene (PP). Additionally, it includes environmentally safe and health-friendly additives, enhancing the specific application properties of the base material.
CERAMIN® is entirely free of PVC, chlorine, stabilizers, and any plasticizers. It boasts exceptionally low emissions and is fully recyclable, yet remains remarkably durable, waterproof, and dimensionally stable. Due to its environmentally friendly properties, CERAMIN® has been certified with both the German government's "Blue Angel" and the "eco Institut" environmental seals.
The Characteristics
CERAMIN® has an environmentally friendly material composition, as it consists of 60 % natural minerals and 40 % polypropylene. More than two thirds of the polymer content consists of recycled material. The fact that CERAMIN® is PVC-free is an important feature in terms of sustainability. PVC products can contain harmful plasticizers and stabilizers and have a negative environmental impact during production and disposal. CERAMIN® avoids these problems. By using additives that are harmless to health and the environment, CERAMIN® helps to minimize the impact on the environment. CERAMIN® is fully recyclable, which means that it can be disposed of sustainably at the end of its life. This helps to reduce waste and recover raw materials. The fact that the raw materials are sourced within Europe and processed in Germany enables short transportation routes and helps to reduce the carbon footprint.
CERAMIN® is free from PVC, chlorine, stabilizers and plasticizers, which are often present in conventional floor and wall coverings such as vinyl flooring. This helps to ensure that fewer harmful chemicals are released into the indoor air and affect the indoor climate. The absence of these substances makes CERAMIN® a healthy choice for interior design. CERAMIN® is also very low in emissions. This means that it only releases very small quantities of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) after installation. VOCs can cause health problems and have a negative impact on indoor air quality. CERAMIN® is also easy on the joints and particularly durable. The durability of the floor is an important factor, especially for pet owners and families with children. CERAMIN® also withstands higher loads without any problems and minimizes damage and wear. Some floor coverings, such as carpets, can trap allergens like dust mites and pet dander, which can aggravate allergies and respiratory problems. CERAMIN® minimizes this problem because it is easy to clean, preventing the build-up of dirt, bacteria and odors. In addition, additives are used in the manufacture of CERAMIN® that are harmless to health. This is particularly important for families with children who frequently crawl across the floor. CERAMIN® is not only healthy to live on, it is also hard-wearing and waterproof. These properties prevent the formation of mold and pests that can occur in damp environments and endanger health.
