FINON® | Kolon Industries
FINON®, Spunbonded non-woven fabric that is made of 86% post-consumer-recycled polyester is used as a primary backing for carpets. Kolon has launched this eco-friendly product in 2020 in an effort to serve the sustainable society and has obtained GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certification by recycling PET Bottles. Seven 500ml PET Bottles are recycled into 1m2 of 100gsm FINON® nonwoven and it also enhance the recyclability of commercial or residential carpets.
The Characteristics
It has the social effect of reducing harmful processes such as incineration and landfill by recycling the PET Bottles. This also has the effect of improving the environment of human being and preserving the natural environment.
