More than 500 billion plastic bottles are sold worldwide every year and more plastic is produced than all of it humanity weighs. These statements and our will to make a contribution to improving the plastic madness has us encouraged to set up an independent collection (Pro Natura). PET bottles are collected, pressed and ground into fine PET flakes.
These are guided through thin nozzles in a melting process to form the end product a wonderfully fluffy, multi-purpose fiber.
Similar to wool, this is spun by hand and closed wonderful carpet creations knotted, tufted and woven. All handmade, under fair conditions in India (Partners of Cair & Fair).
Our Eco Bunee is made from 100% recycled PET bottles and is made by experienced women from hand crocheted. Starting in the middle, a round carpet is made in the shape of a snail.
