Oil Bee | Chimiver Panseri
Chimiver has been on a path towards sustainability for several years, leading to the creation of its first sustainability report in 2023. This report, with 2022 as its reference year, provides a detailed overview of the company's environmentally, socially, and governance-focused activities and virtuous practices. Through this document, Chimiver aims to communicate the actions undertaken in recent years to promote responsible and ethical business management, along with defined objectives and goals for the coming years.
Following this ethos, our research and development laboratory, after meticulous analysis and testing, has formulated “Oil Bee”: an innovative oil-wax blend. This mixture contains vegetable oils and high-quality beeswax of exclusively European origin, which imparts a natural and uniform appearance to wood, enhancing water repellency, surface hardness, and a soft touch.
The Characteristics
Following this logic, our research and development laboratory, after careful analysis and testing, has formulated “Oil Bee”: an innovative oil-wax mixture containing only high-quality vegetable oils and beeswax of European origin. This mixture gives wood a natural and uniform look, enhancing water repellency, surface hardness, and softness to the touch. This formulation replaces a wide range of oil-wax-based products already in our catalogue, offering a solution suitable for both professional use and DIY enthusiasts.
Furthermore, through a strategic partnership, Chimiver will support Bee Life (European Beekeeping Coordination) with this project. This support will be manifested in a series of donations, proportional to the total annual turnover from Oil Bee product sales.
BeeLife is an NGO dedicated to safeguarding bees and pollinators in Europe, aiming to protect bees and their contribution to our agricultural ecosystems. Members of BeeLife share a common goal: to improve environmental conditions for the future of bees, biodiversity, and human beings. Indeed, bees not only serve as excellent environmental indicators but also play a fundamental role in our ecosystem as guarantors of biodiversity. However, due to the negative impact of human activities on the environment, they are now at risk of disappearing. Protecting bees means safeguarding flora, wildlife, and our future as a whole.
For Chimiver, choosing to partner with BeeLife was a natural consequence of the path the company has taken, focusing on innovation and setting the ambitious goal of decreasing all impacts attributable to its activities. The success of Oil Bee stands as a flagship for Chimiver and a tangible example where quality, innovation, and sustainability are combined: an active support for the environment in alignment with the company's environmental, social, and corporate sustainability program.
