This ranges from the use of certified raw materials from sustainable forestry, strictly controlled production and long service life to environmentally friendly disposal. ROOMS consists up to 90% of wood, and is not only FSC and EPLF-certified, but is also designated as particularly environmentally friendly by the Blue Angel.

ROOMS consists up to 90% of wood, and is not only FSC and EPLF-certified, but is also designated as particularly environmentally friendly by the Blue Angel.
ROOMS laminate floors are free of PVC and therefore harmless to health in a residential environment.
Our certified environmental management system leads to a continuous optimization of resource consumption. We use wood efficiently and sustainably several times over. As part of the so-called cascade utilization, this raw material is used as sparingly as possible over several stages. Cascade utilization enables us to achieve economic and ecological benefits such as reduced environmental impact, greenhouse gas savings, lower costs and higher value added.
Strict CO2 reduction guidelines
The production of our wood-based materials is strictly carried out with a view to minimizing CO2 emissions. Compared with other plants producing flooring or building materials, these are ten times lower at our Heiligengrabe site. We recycle all raw materials to the greatest possible extent, after which the rest is used for energy.
Use of renewable energy
We obtain a large proportion of the energy required for production from waste wood or recycled wood. This form of energy generation demonstrably reduces our consumption of crude oil and natural gas. Our biomass power plants supply more than 150,000 MWh of energy per year.
