The water-repellent coating Unicoat protects any wood-based floor by actively repelling water away from the joints. Unicoat is applied on the edges of the floorboard during production, so that a fully sealed surface is obtained when the panels are locked together. The Unicoat technology protects your floors against leaks between joints, swelling of the edges and discolored edges of the wooden top layer. As such, it prevents premature wear of the edges of the floorboards, elongating the durability of your floor.
Not only does Unicoat have a triple function, it has also been triple tested. After exceeding all NALFA swelling tests not for 24 hours but also for 48, 72 hours and even up to a week, Unicoat technology also proved to prevent leakage for over 168 hours - that’s one week, while those exact same floors that were left untreated often only last for a few hours or sometimes only a few minutes during NALFA tests.
