As one of the world's leading manufacturers of resilient floorings, Gerflor is consistently committed to the sustainability of its products. With our sustainability strategy, we care / we act, we have set ourselves ambitious goals: By 2025, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by 20%, double the proportion of natural raw materials, offer more products for adhesive-free installation, and increase both the proportion of recycled material in our products and the recycling volume. We achieve these goals through specific measures, such as our "Second Life" take-back program, which we launched a few years ago.
Through this program, we offer our partners the opportunity to have offcuts collected. These are then processed in our own recycling centers at the respective production sites, allowing them to be directly reintegrated into production. In 2020, we were able to recover over 50,000 tonnes of recycled material, giving it a second life. We aim to consistently rethink product life cycles and utilize valuable resources for the future.
