You can’t put a price on life's favourite places when it comes to healthy living. It’s where you can completely relax. In residential homes, cafés or indeed retirement homes – wineo 1200 allows you to create favourite places that keep you healthy in discerning houses and buildings.
wineo 1200 was awarded with plenty of environmental certificates such as the Blauer Engel (blue angel), TÜV Proficert, Greenguard, Austrian eco-label and many more. Additionally, we are proud to say that PURLINE is Cradle-to-Cradle Silver certified, making it the only sustainable, resilient floor covering combining a large choice of designs and formats with Cradle to Cradle silver certification
With the higher usage classes 33 and 42, wineo 1200 is even more resilient than the wineo 1000 Home Collection. In addition to the glue-down and Multi-Layer click versions, the wineo 1200 collection is also available for the first time as a semi-rigid click version. The Semi-Rigid as well as the Multi-Layer are characterized by the fact that minor irregularities in the subfloors do not show.
The best-selling decors in the XL and XXL formats have been put together from the most popular wood and stone decors of all wineo collections. They are color-coordinated and can be combined individually.
The wineo 1200 collection thus meets the demands of a time in transition. Flexible to use wherever favorite places are to be created. Robust enough for all activities that can take place in rooms. Pure enough to breathe deeply with a clear conscience.
The Characteristics
By resorting to bio instead of petrochemicals for the production of the high-performance composite material ecuran, which consists mainly of vegetable oils such as rapeseed or castor oil and naturally occurring mineral components such as chalk, we are making an innovative contribution to protecting the environment.
Renewable raw materials are very important in the production of PURLINE organic flooring. At our production site in Detmold, Germany, more than 7,000 tonnes of castor oil are processed per year. This makes it possible to produce a physiologically and toxicologically harmless soil solution.
Only HDF coreboards from sustainable, careful and responsible forest management are used in our multilayer flooring. Here we use HDF coreboards that bear the PEFC seal of quality. Wood products bearing the PEFC seal of approval demonstrably originate from ecologically, economically and socially sustainable forestry.
Chalk and sand are also used as fillers at the Detmold site. Since chalk is absolutely harmless and is only ground for processing, it is ideally suited as a filler.
With PURLINE organic flooring, wineo has developed a sustainable floor covering that does not contain added chlorine, plasticizers or solvents. It is free of noxious evaporations and therefore does not release harmful pollutants into the room air.
Transparency is important to us. For this reason, the formulations of our ecuran-based products are tested and evaluated by independent institutes. This includes regular inspections by external testing bodies, such as EPEA (C2C) and TÜV Proficert. The results are consistently sustainable: emission values & ingredients of ecuran-based products meet the highest requirements - free from PVC, formaldehyde or plasticisers. In addition, we draw up our own life cycle assessments for each production site. These help us to continuously reflect on our sustainability development.
PURLINE organic flooring is the only sustainable, elastic floor covering with the freedom of design to be certified to the silver standard (since 2018). The certificate was awarded after an extensive examination process. Five categories were evaluated:
Material Health
PURLINE organic flooring is free from CMR ingredients (carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic substances) and complies with cradle to cradle emission standards.
Circular Economy
PURLINE organic flooring is recyclable and contains a high proportion of rapidly renewable raw materials.
Renewable Energy
Through the use of renewable energy, the use of renewable raw materials and the optimisation of production processes, greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced by more than 90 %.
Water Stewardship
No water is consumed in the production process and no sewage is produced (other than for sanitary purposes only).
Social Fairness
Socially responsible production of raw materials and above-average social standards for the benefit of employees.
As a manufacturer and producer, we have a particular responsibility to protect both the environment and our climate. We take our environmental responsibility seriously and strive every day to play our part. Making a conscious effort to use valuable energy sources carefully is as fundamental to us as covering our energy requirements with renewable energy sources. During our development phase, as well as when procuring raw materials, we always look for the best solution in ecological terms.
We have installed state-of-the-art photovoltaic units at our Augustdorf and Detmold sites which supply electricity to our manufacturing facilities and feed unused energy to the public network. On average, we produce a total of approximately 950,000 kWh every year. By way of comparison, this amount of solar energy would power more than 200 electric cars for a whole year.
In both production and internal transport, we rely on e-mobility, which we are constantly advancing.
By generating our own energy using solar systems and the energy station in Augustdorf, as well as purchasing climate-neutral energy, we have been able to reduce the carbon footprint of the sites by around 6,500 tonnes of CO2 equivalents compared to the use of conventional energy sources.
In addition, care is taken to use water responsibly. No water is consumed in the production process and no waste water is produced (for sanitary purposes only).
